This Privacy Policy ("Policy") sets forth the handling of personal information of users in Channel Blocker ("the App") provided by Goldilocks, K.K. ("we" or "the Company").
Article 2 (Information We Collect)
We collect the following information in providing the App:
- Unique identifier provided by Apple Inc. (when using Sign in with Apple)
- Email address (relay address when using Apple's Hide My Email feature)
- Block lists (list names and channel information)
- Descriptions and tags of published lists
- App crash reports
- Feature usage data (anonymized statistics)
- Device type and OS version
We do not collect the following information:
- YouTube viewing history
- YouTube account information
- Location data
Article 3 (Purpose of Use)
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing, operating, and maintaining the App
- Storing block lists and syncing across devices
- Improving the App and developing new features
- Responding to user inquiries
- Addressing violations of Terms of Service
Article 4 (Third-Party Disclosure)
We will not disclose users' personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- With the user's consent
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining user consent is difficult
- When necessary for use of third-party services specified in this Policy
Article 5 (Third-Party Services)
The App uses the following third-party services. Please refer to each company's privacy policy for information on how they handle data:
- Firebase (Google LLC) - Authentication, data storage, analytics
- YouTube Data API (Google LLC) - Fetching channel information
- App Store (Apple Inc.) - App distribution and payment processing
Article 6 (Data Storage)
User data is stored on Google Firebase (servers located in the United States). We implement the following measures to protect user data:
- Encryption during data transfer and storage
- Access controls to prevent unauthorized access
Retention periods are as follows:
- Account data: Until account deletion
- Usage statistics: 2 years from collection
Article 7 (User Rights)
Users may delete their account and data through the App's settings.
Article 8 (Cookie Usage)
The App does not use cookies. Our website (chanblo.com) may use cookies for analytics purposes.
Article 9 (Use by Minors)
The App is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 13. If we become aware that personal information from a person under 13 has been collected, we will promptly delete such information.
Article 10 (International Data Transfer)
User data is stored on servers located in the United States for provision of the App. We implement appropriate safeguards for data transfers outside Japan.
Article 11 (Changes to This Policy)
We may change this Policy as needed. Significant changes will be notified through in-app notifications or other means we deem appropriate. If users continue to use the App after the effective date of changes, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the revised Policy.
